Communities That Care Youth Development Coalition of Jefferson County is a collaborative community organization governed by a member-elected Steering Committee. The Steering Committee consists of a chairperson, chairperson elect, secretary, and members at large. Members who volunteer as Task Force Leaders also serve on the Steering Committee.
The Steering Committee responsibilities

Attend all meetings of Committee and Coalition

Meet monthly

Monitor standing or special committees and task forces to ensure that their annual goals and objectives are met

Set the agenda for the Coalition meetings

Review Coalition membership annually for complete community representation

Ensure that goals and objectives meet the vision and mission of the Coalition

Assess and develop sustainability and cultural competence across the Coalition
